Israel has a Mediterranean climate in the north and desert climate in the south. The best overall months are March-May (spring) and September-November (fall), when temperatures are pleasant (20-28Β°C), crowds are manageable, and prices are moderate. Summer (June-August) is scorching in the desert but perfect for beaches. Winter (December-February) is mild and rainy in the north but warm in Eilat and the Dead Sea.
