Always in your Israel bag

Whatever month you travel, these items should always come with you — regardless of region or season.

Modesty cover-up

A lightweight scarf or wrap and long trousers for religious sites — Western Wall, churches, mosques.

Comfortable walking shoes

Jerusalem's Old City, Masada and national parks are hard on feet. Closed-toe, cushioned soles.

Reusable water bottle

Tap water is safe to drink across Israel. A 1 L bottle saves money and plastic.

Adapter & power bank

Israel uses Type H (or C/M) plugs at 230 V. A power bank keeps your nav app alive on long days.

Sunscreen (SPF 50+)

UV index is high year-round — even in winter you can burn. Reapply every 2 hours outdoors.

Cash (₪ shekels)

Cards accepted almost everywhere, but markets, small falafel stands and some holy-site donations need cash.
